Saracens needs your help!! 16/04/2008
Did you know that the majority of our swimming teachers started off as parents sitting on the balcony watching their children swim?
Did you also know that Saracens teachers/coaches and poolside helpers are volunteers and give their time freely to teach your children?
Are you interested in helping to teach on poolside under the guidance of one of our qualified teachers or even taking it one step further and becoming a swimming teacher or official?
Saracens may be able to help you!

Saracens’ Swim to Victory in Intertown Friendly League Celebration Gala 04/09/2007
Saracens joined swimming clubs from Dukinfield, Hyde, Wilmslow, Romiley and Marple for the end of season Intertown Friendly League Celebration Gala which was held at Grand Central Pools in Stockport on Saturday 14 July 2007.
Saracens’ talented youngsters made a big splash when they were crowned League Champions for the 9th consecutive year. They won the Celebration Gala in spectacular style and walked away with the following trophies:
- Senior League winners
- Overall League winners
- Junior League joint winners with Romiley
- Celebration Gala winners
- Handicap Trophy winners

Head Coach, Kevin Nuttall commended the swimmers: “I am very proud of a tremendous group of youngsters who always give their very best. They deserve their success in this league and are a credit to their parents and the club, not only for their individual performances but also for the team spirit and unity they always demonstrate. This group of swimmers have contributed so much to our club and their hard work and the dedication of their swimming teachers has paid off once again. Congratulations and well done to everyone!"

Saracens win the Winnie Bowlas 14/07/2007
Saracens visited Cheadle swimming pool on Saturday afternoon to take part in the Winnie Bowlas gala. The gala is not your avarage swimming meet, it is a gala for the novice swimmers who don't normally get a chance to compete so the events are designed to be fun and include balloon relay, T-shirt relay, ring relay and the very funny float cannon relay where each member of the relay team adds another float for the next to carry accross. Saracens were competing against Stockport, Marple and Davenport who all did very well, our boys and girls were better on the day taking an early lead and holding the top spot right through to the end winning by quite a bit. Well done to all who took part. See the pictures

Site Update 25/6/07
There have been a few changes made to the site over the weekend some more obvious than others. The main change was to the general look of the site, I have removed the black band that used to run across the page in order to brighten the place up and added a thin line instead. The banner that sits on the top of the page has been changed to a cleaner one but still incorporates the all important Saracens logo.
One of the most noticeable differences was the changing of the picture on the front page; the old picture was a bit dated so I have replaced it with a temporary swimming related picture. They say a picture paints a thousand words so if you have a picture that really shows what the club is all about then please let us know.
The Saracens picture gallery has been altered to help it integrate with the main site. There are quite a few photos in the gallery now but we still want more, if you have some photos worthy of the gallery then let us know.
If there are things you would like adding to the site or things that you feel need changing then contact me via info@saracens-asc.co.uk with the details.

Grapevine Newsletter for 27/02/2007
There is a home gala this Thursday (29th March) against Dukinfield. This means that there will be no swimming in the main pool from 7.30pm (Groups 3 and 4). The Gala starts at 8.00pm. The small pool is unaffected. There will be no training in either the small pool or the main pool on Easter Sunday.
The committee is thinking of organising a Saracens Adventure Weekend at the Ghyll Head Education Centre in the Lake District if there is sufficient interest from members. Cost will be £120 all inclusive per person (maximum). At this stage please fill in the form on the Saracens Noticeboard at Hazel Grove Pools to register your interest and preferred dates. If any parents would be willing to help with organising the Weekend then please also put your name down.
